Welcome back to our Five Favorite Bets For Week 5 of the 2021 season! Last week we hit on three of our six bets. Shoutout to the Cardinals for hitting the over and covering! Unfortunately, we are 11-11 to start the season. So let us try and do better in Week 5.
Green Bay Packers (-3) at Cincinnati Bengals
The Packers have rebounded well after the Week 1 beat down the Saints gave them. Meanwhile, the Bengals are 3-1 themselves. Joe Burrow is coming into his own. The Packer’s secondary is always a cause for concern, and with Jaire Alexander hurt and potentially missing this game, that is trouble. Not a lot of people are talking about Jamarr Chase’s drops anymore, are they? Chase should feast in this matchup. Joe Burrow will cover the three points at home, and I believe he can beat Aaron Rodgers outright.
Pick: Bengals +3
New England Patriots (-9) at Houston Texans
The Patriots are coming off a hard-fought loss against the Buccaneers, and news comes that injured cornerback Stephen Gilmore is being traded to the Panthers. The Patriots are an ok team, but I do not think they are good enough to cover nine on the road. They will win; however, Texans will find a way to cover the nine.
Pick: Texans +9
Chicago Bears at Las Vegas Raiders (-5.5)
Trust me, I always get nervous betting on my Bears. Usually, it doesn’t work out well for me. We got the news that Justin Fields is officially the starting quarterback the rest of the way. The Raiders came back to earth against the chargers on Monday night. I think 5.5 is too many points for the Raiders, whose offensive line is suspect. The Bears lead the NFL in sacks, and both Khalil Mack and Robert Quinn have four on the season. Khalil Mack gets his revenge this week. Bears will win outright but take the points if you aren’t as bold.
Pick: Bears +5.5
Buffalo Bills at Kansas City Chiefs (-3)
The Chiefs are not the unbeatable giant that we have seen in years past. They have already matched last year’s loss total in the first month of the season. The Bills have already recorded two shutouts in the first four games. Their team is coming along. This matchup will be a high scoring game, and as a bonus, I see the Bills pulling off an upset,
Pick: Over (bonus Bills +3)
Indianapolis Colts at Baltimore Ravens (-7)
The Ravens are firing on all cylinders, and Lamar Jackson is coming off his best passing performance of the season. The Colts finally got their first win against the decimates Dolphins, but I do not see them extending their win stream. Instead, the Ravens will handle business at home and cover the touchdown spread.
Pick: Ravens -7
Best of luck to everyone this week, and thank you for reading our Five Favorite Bets For Week 5!
