Welcome back to our Five Favorite Bets For Week 2 of the 2021 season! Last week we hit on the Bengals + the over and were lucky the 49ers hit -7.5 to cover that as well. We are 3-3 to start the season. So let us try and do better in Week 2!
Rams (1-0) at Colts (0-1)
The Los Angeles Rams came to play Sunday night against my beloved Bears and kicked their ass. This offense looks to be in midseason form. Jalen Ramsey and Aaron Donald are looking to repeat as the #1 defense in the NFL again. The Colts look depleted, and I don’t think their defense is up to the task of slowing down another high-powered offense.
Pick: Rams -4.5
Texans (1-0) at Browns (0-1)
The Texans were one of the surprise teams of the opening weekend, but I believe that loss says more about how bad the Jaguars are than how good the Texans are. The Browns lost a heartbreaker to the Chiefs in Arrowhead. There is only so much hope we can have for the Texans who are without Deshaun Watson. I can expect them to take out their frustration against a Texans team that will be incredibly overmatched in this game.
Pick: Browns -11.5
Vikings (0-1) at Cardinals (1-0)
Kyler Murray threw his hat into the MVP conversation with a dazzling five-touchdown performance in Week 1. Teammate Chandler Jones nearly broke the NFL single-game sack record with 5. The Vikings, however, lost a thriller in Cincinnati. I think the Cardinal’s defensive line will overpower the Vikings suspect offensive line, but Kirk Cousins will be able to score. I like this to be a high-scoring affair.
Pick Over 50.5
Falcons (0-1) at Buccaneers (1-0)
The Buccaneers are the biggest favorite heading into Week 2, and rightfully so. They get the lowly Falcons coming into town, who the Eagles spanked in Week 1. This game is a nightmare matchup for Atlanta at every level; you’re going to see them overpowered. I expect another monster day from Tom Brady and company.
Pick: Bucs -13
Titans (0-1) at Seahawks (1-0)
The Titans were the biggest letdown of Week 1. They were manhandled at home by the Cardinals. Russell Wilson is off to a hot start, and as a result, the Seahawks will contend for the playoffs again. This game will be a shootout, and both defenses will struggle. Derrick Henry and Julio Jones will be more active this week.
Pick: Over 54.5
Best of luck to everyone this week, and thank you for reading our Five Favorite Bets For Week 2!
