We are now in the Conference Championship Round and down to the final four in the playoffs. We absolutely killed it last week! Both our picks and best bets went 4-0 and we finally got our clean sweep! So far in the playoffs, our picks are 7-3, and our best bets are 6-4.

Let’s see who punches their ticket to the Super Bowl. Both Conference Championship games feature rematches from the regular season. Will the playoff rematches be any different? Let’s dive into our Super Bowl picks and our winners from the NFL Conference Championship round.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers comfortably took care of the decimated Los Angeles Rams last week. The Packers have been on quite a roll all season long and are number one in the NFC enjoying home-field advantage of the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field. The Buccaneers were in a tight battle with the Saints but their impressive defense sealed the game forcing four turnovers by Drew Brees. We never got to see Tom Brady vs Aaron Rodgers in the Super Bowl but seeing the duel this week in NFC Championship isn’t too bad. This is also the first time in his career that Aaron Rodgers will get to host the NFC Championship.

The last time these two teams played it was in Tampa Bay and the Packers jumped out to a 10-0 lead. They would never score after that as the Bucs would blow them out 38-10. That was the only time this year where the Packers lost so convincingly. Tampa blitzed Aaron Rodgers and held him to his worst performance of the season of zero touchdowns, two interceptions, and a measly 160 yards passing. Davantae Adams was also held to only 61 yards on six catches.

Who Wins?

The Buccaneers defense shut down the Packers offense and held them to only 200 yards total offense and sacked Aaron Rodgers five times. Tom Brady and the Buccaneers took advantage and really gashed the Packers defense for nearly 160 yards rushing. The Packers’ defense is vulnerable against the run and the last time these teams played, Antonio Brown was not a member of Tampa Bay. Another big factor to consider in this game is that the Week 6 match-up was in warm Tampa Bay and Sunday’s game will be in Green Bay. The weather looks to be in the low 20s.

I am going with the Buccaneers landing into Green Bay and beating the Packers. I think the Tampa defense can slow down Davantae Adams again and force Aaron Rodgers to find someone else to beat him. Aaron Jones is a great running back but Tampa also has a stout run defense. Tom Brady and the Buccaneers offense has been gelling the last two months and I think they have too many weapons for the Packers to handle. I do really like the Packers’ secondary and they could arguably be the best in football. On the other hand, Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Antonio Brown, and Rob Gronkowski will challenge any secondary. I see another big day for the Bucs defense but I see this being much closer than the first game.
