Week 12 felt the wrath of Covid for several teams. We actually still have one game left to play because of it! Last week we went 11-5 in our weeks which brings out the season total to 99 wins, 53 losses, and 1 tie. Let’s dive into our NFL Week 13 picks!
New Orleans Saints at Atlanta Falcons
The Saints’ defense is on a tear, having allowed just 12 points in their last two games, and one of those games was against their Week 13 opponents, the Falcons. The Falcons had a huge upset in Week 12, crushing the Raiders. I think the Falcons carry that momentum into Week 13 and score more than the 9 points they did a few weeks ago. I think the Saints will end up winning, but it will be a much closer game.
Detroit Lions at Chicago Bears
The Lions fired Matt Patricia (Finally), and the Bears may do the same with Matt Nagy at the end of the year. Nagy is undefeated against the Lions (5-0), but they will have a new coach. Chicago’s season is in a free-fall. They have lost five games in a row since starting the season 5-1. Matt Nagy called out everyone this Week. Will it light a fire in them, or will their season slowly crumble? As a die-hard Bears fan, I don’t know. What I do know is Mitch Trubisky owns the Lions. He has scored at least three touchdowns against them in four straight games ( all four Bears wins).
Cincinnati Bengals at Miami Dolphins
What should have been a highly anticipated game with Joe Burrow vs. Tua Tagovailoa has shifted to Brandon Allen vs. Ryan Fitzpatrick. Miami currently owns the final wild card seed in the AFC and are just one game behind the Bills for the lead in the AFC East. They rank second in the NFL in scoring defense and will beat up on Brandon Allen. Don’t be surprised to see a pick-six for the opportunistic Dolphins defense in this game.
