NFL Week 9 Picks

Imran Khan

Week 8 was a week for the underdogs. Several covered and many also won outright! We were surprised and had our roughest week to date.  We had 7 wins and 7 losses last week and our season total is a solid 65-29-1. As always let us aim to improve once again with our NFL Week 9 picks!

Green Bay Packers at San Francisco 49ers

The Packers were stunned at home by the Vikings and took their second loss of the season. Meanwhile, the 49ers were hit with another wave of crippling injuries. They will be without George Kittle for potentially the rest of the year and will be missing starting quarterback Jimmy Garroplo for some time. Even on a short week on the road, I have to pick the Packers.

Pick: Packers

Detroit Lions at Minnesota Vikings

It’s hard to figure out what’s going on in Minnesota. They traded offseason acquisition Yannick Ngakoue, signaling the tank being on. They then come out of the bye and beat the brakes off the division-leading Packers. The Vikings rode Dalvin Cook to victory and I think they will do the same this week. The Lions will be without superstar Kenny Golladay, a massive loss for this team. The Vikings will stack another win against a division rival.

Pick: Vikings

Baltimore Ravens at Indianapolis Colts

The Ravens lost a challenging game to the Steelers on the last play of the game and didn’t look like themselves since the Chiefs’ loss earlier in the year. The Colts will have their hands full against¬†Lamar Jackson this week. Although the Colts have a good defense, I see the Ravens bouncing back this week. I think Baltimore’s defense will affect Phillip Rivers more than the Indy defense affecting Lamar.

Pick: Ravens
