Last week in our five favorite bets we struggled a little and went 2-3 but our bonus play for the Bears under cashed! Our season total on our five favorite bets is at 19 wins, 11 losses, and 2 pushes. Let’s go for the sweep this week with our Five Favorite Bets for Week 8!
Minnesota Vikings at Green Bay Packers
The Vikings are coming off a bye, waving the white flag on the 2020 season. They traded away Yannick Ngakoue less than two months after acquiring him and put Danielle Hunter on IR. This team has mailed it in. However, the Packers bounced back from a beatdown by the Bucs to hand one to the Texans. Green Bay has done a great job all season beating up on bad teams. They do it again here and easily cover as the home favorites.
Pick: Packers -6.5
Las Vegas Raiders at Cleveland Browns
Clevland lost Odell Beckham Jr. for the season in Week 7, and Jarvis Landry has also been battling broken ribs; however, Baker Mayfield still found a way to throw five touchdowns. This game features two offenses who can put up points in a hurry and two defenses to allow that. Both teams have been involved in a fair share of high scoring games this year, and I see that trend continuing this week. I think we see a shoot out in this game and cash on the over.
Pick: Over 54
New York Jets at Kansas City Chefs
I mean, come on, guys! This one is obvious. The Jets put up a decent fight last week against the Bills and covered as 10 point underdogs. This week they have to travel to Kansas City and face the best offense in football. This game is going to get ugly and fast. There are just too many weapons for the Jets to keep up with. We have seen the Chiefs beat better teams by more. Hell, the Cheifs might cover the over by themselves.
Pick: Chiefs -19.5
Tennessee Titans at Cincinnati Bengals
The Titans have been giving up a lot of points lately but have been able to win games until last week when they faced the Steelers. The Bengals young offense has been doing a great job, for the most part, this year in getting the ball in the end zone. I think the Titans will outright, but the Bengals will make this game and a high scoring one at that.
Pick: Over 54.5 (Bonus play Bengals +5.5)
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at New York Giants (+10.5, 47)
The Bucs come into Monday Night Football as 10.5 favorites on the road, and unless Eli Manning is suiting up on the other side, I believe they will cover this number quite easily. Tom Brady is settling in very nicely to his new offense, and the Giants defense will have a hard time slowing them down. The Giants will hang around in the first half, but the better team will pull away in the second half.
Pick: Bucs -10.5
That wraps up our five favorite bets for Week 8. Good luck to all, and may your tickets be cashed!
