We were headed into Week 4 7-3 in our best bets. Last week, we went 2-1-2. That brings our season total to 9 wins, 4 losses, and 2 pushes. Let’s dive into our five favorite bets for Week 5 to continue to cash those tickets!
Cincinnati Bengals at Baltimore Ravens
The Bengals have been very impressive this year, they have been in every game. Honestly, they are a few plays away from sitting at 3-1 themselves. The Ravens failed to cover a 14-point spread last week against the Ravens and I think they struggle to do that again in Week 5.
The Bengals are a feisty team and will make this game competitive restricting the Ravens from covering the double-digit point spread.
Lamar Jackson has missed practice the last two days with an injury, so this makes that Bengals cover more appetizing.
Pick: Bengals + 12
New York Giants at Dallas Cowboys
The only bet I feel comfortable making with the Dallas Cowboys involved is betting the Over. In their last 3 games, Dallas has scored an average of 38 points per game and they are also allowing 42 points per game. Dallas has a lot of weapons and not a very good defense. I love the over in Week 5.
Pick: Over 54
Minnesota Vikings at Seattle Seahawks
This will be another high scoring affair. Both teams have talented offenses that can put up points in a hurry. Neither defense has the ability to completely shut an offense down. I expect Russell Wilson to continue his MVP campaign and for Dalvin Cook to add a few more touchdowns.
Pick: Over 57
Indianapolis Colts at Cleveland Browns
The Browns and Colts are both 3-1 but the Browns are coming in as the home underdogs. Cleveland has won three games in a row and their offense is getting better each week. They did lose Nick Chubb for an extended period of time but if I am being honest, the better running back is now starting in Kareem Hunt. I think the Browns will exploit matchups against the Colts defense and pull off the upset. This one of the five favorite bets for Week 5 is an extra treat as I will go with Browns with the points and on the money line.
Pick: Browns +2 ( and if you are a true gambler take the Money line at +100)
Jacksonville Jaguars at Houston Texans
The Texans fired head coach Bill O’Brien this week after the team started out 0-4. The Texans look to be a mess and while they have some talent I don’t know how much Romeo Crennel will be able to change in just a week. This will be a high scoring affair and with Deshaun Watson on the field I expect the Texans to score. I do not think the Texans are worth being 6 point favorites at home. I think they will probably win but the Jaguars will cover the number.
Pick: Jaguars +6
Those are our five favorite for week 5! Best of luck on all your tickets.
