Las Vegas Raiders Wide Receiver Henry Ruggs

The Raiders shocked many when they made Henry Ruggs the 12th pick in the 2020 draft and the first wide receiver off the board. Ruggs’ Over-Under is at 4.5 receiving touchdowns. I am taking the Over here. Jon Gruden has been dying to have a weapon like Ruggs that can threaten a defense on any play no matter where they line him up. I think Gruden will emphasize getting the ball to Ruggs early and often throughout the year.

Many scratched their heads that Ruggs was the first wideout selected and not his Alabama teammate Jerry Jeudy, the most polished receiver in the draft. The answer is simple, 4.27. That was Ruggs’ 40 yard dash time at the NFL draft. You can’t teach world-class speed.

The Raiders still have Tyrell Williams, Darren Waller, Hunter Renfrow, Nelson Agholor, and Josh Jacobs out of the backfield. Ruggs will get his fair share of one-on-one matchups against defenses and use his world-class speed to burn secondaries all year long. He will get some big touchdowns for the Raiders. Ruggs ending with five touchdowns or more should be no problem to cash out on this prop.
