The 2020 NFL Draft not only went off without a hitch but supplied some HIGHLY touted talent. There is a ton of hype surrounding rookies this year. I see some potential record-breakers in the making and I’m excited I can get them later in drafts. Here are five rookie wide receivers you need to immediately throw in your draft queue! You can draft any of these guys just before or after round ten in a traditional 18 round fantasy draft.
1. Henry Ruggs III
The second-fastest man in Madden and he’s only a rookie?! While I was impressed, that’s the last Madden sentiment you’ll hear from myself. But there is no denying, Ruggs’ speed is unreal! Check the tape, your eyes will not be denied the truth. He offers an elite burst off the line of scrimmage and while he does lack some physical advantage off the line – It will be difficult for defenses to press him with his ability to easily break into the second level.
Last year with Alabama, Ruggs recorded 40 catches, 746 receiving yards, and 7 receiving touchdowns. He averaged 18.7 yards per reception showcasing his speed and deep threat ability. You wouldn’t expect it from his size, but he’s also a guy who can go up and make a play in traffic. He’s my WR34, but in the last mock I completed, he went two to three rounds behind Jefferson, Jeudy, and Lamb. The Raiders offense may not be as sexy as the Cowboys, Vikings, and Broncos, but Ruggs will be the feature guy in Vegas. While Jefferson, Lamb, and Jeudy will have more legitimate competition for touches.
